Reading guide
- “Mahadev” and “Bhola” refer to Shiva in this text. The opening image is of music and dancing at the Mother’s court.
- The shortened “गढ़ पर्वत” after later stanzas points back to the opening refrain. Return to that refrain when following the song’s repeated structure.
- The library also holds a “Bhola Baba” version. Its wording and stanza count differ; the two texts are presented separately so readers can choose the version they know.
About this text
This is the Devanagari version held in the library. A Roman reading and a verified author attribution are not available for this version. The song’s imagery is not a prescription for ritual offerings.
