How to Use Choghadiya
Choghadiya divides day and night into eight periods each, ruled by different planets and classified as auspicious (Shubh, Labh, Amrit) or inauspicious (Rog, Kaal, Udveg). Before starting a journey, signing a document or beginning a purchase, checking the choghadiya is a quick, widely practised muhurat shortcut — especially in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Amrit is the best period, followed by Shubh and Labh; avoid Rog and Kaal for new undertakings. Timings depend on sunrise and sunset at your location.
