The divine monkey devotee of Rama, symbol of strength, courage, and bhakti. Son of the wind god Vayu, Hanuman helped Rama rescue Sita from Lanka. He is believed to be immortal (chiranjeevi) and present wherever the Ramayana is sung. The Hanuman Chalisa is recited by millions daily.
Worship of Lord Hanuman — Puja, Vrat & Offerings
Lord Hanuman, the embodiment of devotion and strength, is worshipped on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Devotees offer sindoor (vermilion), boondi or laddus, and jasmine oil, recalling how He covered Himself in sindoor for Lord Rama’s sake. The Hanuman Chalisa is the most recited hymn in His honour — forty verses that grant courage, protect from fear and negative influences, and strengthen both body and will. Sundarkand recitation on Saturday evenings is a beloved household tradition.
