About this stotram — Ganesha, Rama

A Stotram is a Sanskrit hymn of praise composed by great sages and poet-saints such as Adi Shankaracharya. Stotrams describe the deity’s form, qualities and deeds in richly poetic language, and chanting them is said to purify the intellect and awaken devotion. Many stotrams carry a phala-shruti — a closing verse describing the benefits of recitation.

How to chant

Stotrams reward slow, attentive chanting. Read the meaning once before you begin so the verses resonate as you recite. Early morning (Brahma Muhurat) is ideal, but any quiet time works. If Sanskrit feels difficult, chant along with the transliteration and let the rhythm settle naturally over a few days of practice.
