Lord Krishna

The eighth avatar of Vishnu, divine statesman, warrior, and teacher of the Bhagavad Gita. Born in Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva, he grew up in Vrindavan as a cowherd. His teachings to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra form the Bhagavad Gita. Janmashtami celebrates his birth.
