Worship of Lord Krishna — Puja, Vrat & Offerings
Lord Krishna, the divine cowherd and teacher of the Bhagavad Gita, is worshipped with unmatched love across India. Krishna Janmashtami — His midnight birth celebration — is His greatest festival, observed with fasting, night vigils and offerings of makhan (butter), mishri and tulsi. The Hare Krishna mahamantra and the reading of the Bhagavatam are the heart of His devotion. Wednesdays and Ekadashi are especially auspicious for His worship.
