Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy governs all refund and cancellation requests on the Sankalpa Guru Platform. Different terms apply to Pandit Booking Services and Subscription Plans. Please read this Policy carefully before making any payment.

2. Pandit Booking Refunds

2.1 Cancellation by User

2.2 Cancellation by Pandit

If a confirmed Pandit cancels for any reason (including Force Majeure events):

  • 100% refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • You will be offered complimentary priority rebooking with an alternative available Pandit.
  • If the cancellation occurs within 6 hours of the scheduled ritual, you will receive an additional service credit of 10% of the booking value.

2.3 Ritual Incompletion

If a puja or ritual is commenced but not completed due to the Pandit's fault (as determined by Sankalpa Guru's review process):

  • A pro-rated partial refund will be issued based on the proportion of the ritual completed.
  • Sankalpa Guru's determination following investigation shall be final.

2.4 Quality Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with the quality of service:

  • Raise a dispute within 48 hours of service completion via the "Report Issue" button on your Bookings page.
  • Our Customer Support team will investigate within 3 business days.
  • Refunds for quality disputes are at Sankalpa Guru's sole discretion and shall not exceed 50% of the booking value.

2.5 Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Samagri (ritual materials) costs, if separately charged and already procured
  • Platform convenience fees (if separately listed)
  • Bookings made using promotional credits or vouchers

3. Subscription Plan Refunds

3.1 Cooling-Off Period

You may cancel a new subscription and receive a full refund within 7 days of initial purchase, provided you have not made substantive use of premium features.

3.2 Mid-Cycle Cancellation

  • Cancellation after the 7-day cooling-off period will not result in a refund for the current billing period.
  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid billing cycle.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused days in a billing period.

3.3 Annual Subscriptions

  • Annual subscription holders cancelling after the 7-day cooling-off period may request a pro-rated refund for the remaining complete months, subject to a 15% early termination fee.

3.4 Price Change Refunds

If Sankalpa Guru increases subscription pricing, existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the next billing date for a pro-rated refund of the unused period at the old price.

4. Refund Processing

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method only.
  • Processing time: 5–10 business days (subject to your bank's processing times).
  • UPI refunds: typically 1–3 business days.
  • For payments made via Razorpay or Stripe, refunds are subject to their respective processing policies.
  • Refunds will not be issued in cash under any circumstances.

5. How to Request a Refund

1. Log in to your Sankalpa Guru account. 2. Navigate to My Bookings or My Subscription. 3. Select the booking/subscription and click Request Refund. 4. Provide the reason for your refund request. 5. Our team will respond within 2 business days.

Alternatively, email refunds@sankalpa.guru with your booking ID and reason.

6. Disputes & Escalation

If you are dissatisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate to: Email: legal@sankalpa.guru Subject: Refund Escalation — [Booking ID]

We will review escalations and provide a final decision within 10 business days.

7. Changes to This Policy

Sankalpa Guru reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated 14 days in advance via email.
